In the Taisho era (early 18th century) when Japanese society is rapidly modernizing, a tomboyish 18 years old girl, Kyoko Tachibana is still climb trees and has a great deal of curiosity. Her father and personal driver, Shuji, are anxious about her. At the house of the Tachibanas, there is a room that’s always locked. When the doors are accidentally opened though, Kyoko brings a mushroom-like wooden stick out of the room. Her father scolds her hard when he finds out about it. However, when she watches the room's doors open the next time, a man wearing a long-nosed goblin’s mask buries his face between a housemaid's legs.
